Jenny had the door propped open. Football was playing on the TV, her was laptop off to the side, booted up and running a search, and she was poring over the Ching Tai take-out menu while she waited for Lana to arrive. Maybe they'd go to the group Thanksgiving later, depending on how the game was going.

OOC: Open for Lana and any other interaction, though I will be bopping in and out due to familial obligations. Happy Thanksgiving to those that celebrate it!

"Well, I really appreciate it," Lana said with a smile. She gestured toward the bags. I have two pies and some biscuits and some coffee and stuff here. Where can I put it?"

Lana carried the bags through into the kitchen and began unloading stuff onto the counter. "I didn't know what kind of pie you liked, so I got the traditional pumpkin and also a raspberry, which is one of my favorites. And there's some brownies and cookies in case you're not a pie person. Oh, and some whipped cream, 'cause really you can't have pies on Thanksgiving without whipped cream."

She pulled out the biscuits and the coffee as well, then neatly folded the bags and put them on the counter. "I hope that's all okay."

"I can cook," Lana said. "But there really isn't a whole lot of space to cook in the dorms. Take-out is love."

"Exactly," Lana said. "It's not like having a kitchen in your own place where you know all the little quirks of it. Take-out sounds great though. She skimmed through the menu. "I do love chow mein."

"Pot stickers and maybe some egg rolls," Lana said with a smile.

"Wonton soup," Lana said with a smile. "Not that it's particularly Thanksgiving-y, but somehow it doesn't feel like a real Chinese dinner without soup."

"So," Lana said. "Anything I can help with or that we should do before the food gets here?Or are we football bound?"

Lana shrugged a little hesitantly. "It's not my favorite, but yeah. I kind of had to learn to like it at least a little 'cause I was dating the quarterback. I certainly don't object to watching something else though."

Lana grinned. "And my aunt was terribly upset when I decided to stop being a cheerleader for the team."

Lana laughed a little ruefully. "I was trying to find a way to be myself. I realized I'd become a cheerleader because my mother had been one and I was trying to be more like her instead of doing something that I wanted to do. No one was happy when I quit. Especially not my aunt and my boyfriend."
