Jenny had coffee, a strange, handwritten dictionary, and her laptop and translation program.

"Blame the Catholic upbringing," muttered Elizabeth, blushing even further. "I'd forgotten I'd written that."

Jenny chuckled. "So, I've been having fun with your dictionary over the past week."

"With the actual dictionary part or my annotations on it?" asked Elizabeth wryly.

"Oh, both," said Jenny, grinning. "Really, more the actual dictionary part, you know."

"Good to know," murmured Elizabeth.

"I gotta wonder, what would happen if I rewrote one of my magic programs in this language?" asked Jenny.

Elizabeth's eyes widened slightly. "I have absolutely no idea," she said.

"One of these days I may have to try it," said Jenny. "Especially with a reaction like that. So, you wanna tell me where Daniel got his hands on a funky dialect like this?"

"You'll have to ask Daniel," said Elizabeth immediately.

"Yeah, him? I could probably get to talk." Jenny grinned.

"You do that," said Elizabeth, her voice steady.

"You wanna find something to change the subject to?" asked Jenny, finishing her coffee and setting her mug down.

Elizabeth nodded. "Good plan," she said.

"There's magic, classes, our happiness with the lack of zombies and snow monsters so far this term," said Jenny. "What do you have for a subject change? Going on college hunts this term?"

"We meant to do some this summer, but never actually got around to it," admitted Elizabeth, grinning sheepishly. "I guess we'll end up in Cambridge for a weekend this term instead."

Jenny grinned. "Guess you and Janet got distracted," she said. "So you're thinking Harvard?"

Elizabeth blushed ever so faintly, and nodded. "Yeah, we both are," she said.

"You two look good together," said Jenny. "You know?"

Elizabeth smiled softly. "I like to think so at least," she said quietly.

Jenny nodded. "I wouldn't say it if it wasn't true," she said.

"Thank you, for saying it anyway," said Elizabeth, smiling.

"Oh, any time," Jenny said. "So you and she are both looking at the same college? That's way serious."

Elizabeth nodded slowly, biting at her lip.

"Serious is good," said Jenny. "You guys are old enough that you can do that level of serious. Wish I could."
